About

  • 4.7 ( 50 reviews)
  • 9-29, $$, $$$

Proud To serve Authentic Uyghur Foods to Friends , Family and Neighbors. The Uyghur (also spelled Uighur; pronounced wee-gur) people live in the far western reaches of China, on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Descendants of Turkic groups that migrated centuries ago, they live along the ancient (and fragrant) paths of the Silk Road. This means that while elements of Far Eastern and Chinese cooking are in the fore (see: long noodles), Middle Eastern spices and cuts of meat (see: kabobs) end up in the pot for an intoxicating and thrilling dining adventure.

I've had uyghur cuisine before and this taste exactly like it, but the noodles were better made at the other place as they were hand pulled. Not sure if they make their own noodles here but it's not as chewy. The flavors were awesome though. I took off one star because they took the order of their "regulars" first when I arrived before them and was ready to order..

Ordered take-out from this place and it was decent but would like to try again there. They were really crazy on a Saturday night and when I went up to pick it up, the person was really confused and said the order wasn't ready. After a while, no one gave me an update so I went back to look and the order had been sitting there. Anyway, the food was good (all vegetarian):- Korma chop: good and yummy noodles but could use some more flavor and a little less oil- Kawa Goshnan(pumpkin): it was ok, the bread was a little hard- Kawa manta(pumpkin): really good- Fried eggplant: also very good, comes with rice but a little too oily as well
